Natalia Kool is an artist creating oil paintings from her studio in Amsterdam. Her work is very colorful & paints all kind of traditional paintings. She started painting portraits. The portraits are inspired while she worked in the fashion industry and took the faces from runway to canvas.
Also, her whole life she has an obsession with old cars. Everywhere she goes and sees them she need to take a picture as inspiration for a new painting. The element that caught her eye while painting these cars was the shine in the varnish of the car.
She took that feeling of shine and and blew this up in her abstract paintings. The journey you have with a car is the inspiration for the movement that creates ’waves’ or ‘bubbles’ on the canvas.
